The exact date of the store's opening day hasn't been announced yet. But also advertised on the sign was that the store will be hiring staff. If you're interested, email Chris Ard.

"Carter’s has been known for its thoughtful little details like the Handi-Cuff mitten sleeve that protects babies from self-scratching, and the Jiffon neck design that slips over little ears for easy outfit changes," the Carter's Inc. website says.

The store first started in 1865 and has been selling baby and children's clothing ever since. According to their website, Carter's Inc. also owns OshKosh B’gosh.

The strip of stores in Danbury known as the Shops At Marcus Dairy already include an EMS, Panera Bread, Sleep Number Beds and Petco. The Whole Foods is slated to open May 17. EMS, which is open, will hold its grand opening celebration this weekend.
