Danbury Chamber Event Aims To Help Small Businesses Get Ahead

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar to discuss best financial practices for small businesses at the chamber offices on Oct. 8 from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m.

The discussion will be led by Michael Paisan, one of The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" analysts for three consecutive years. Paisan will discuss topics like utilizing capital efficiently and effectively and how to build and maintain a good credit score.

Chamber offices are at 39 West St. in Danbury. 

On Oct. 9, the vhamber will hold a networking event at the newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn, 119 Mill Plain Road from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

On Oct. 17, the chamber and the Women's Business Council will honor Wilda Hayes with the Third Annual Heart of Women award. A cocktail reception and dinner will be held at the Ethan Allen Hotel, 21 Lake Ave. Extension from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Tickets for the dinner are $45 for members and $55 for non-members.
