DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury-based Cartus is partnering with the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter through its Ready 365 Giving Program, a way for organizations to partner with the Red Cross to support its humanitarian mission.
As part of the partnership, Cartus has contributed $10,000 to the campaign.

Cartus’ contribution will support American Red Cross emergency preparedness and response services in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

“When disaster strikes, the Red Cross is there to provide immediate assistance with housing, food and other emergency needs,” Bruno said. “Through Ready365, we look to proactively help families be better prepared for disaster like the residential fires that make up the majority of our local disaster responses.”
Last year, the Red Cross responded to more than 1,000 local disasters in Connecticut and Rhode Island – most of them residential fires. The Home Fire Preparedness Campaign will bring Red Cross volunteers into communities to educate residents about fire safety and fire escape planning, as well as to install smoke alarms free of charge.
