Shelter Rock Winery’s evening of culture at its location at 5 Shelter Rock Rd. was a benefit for Julia’s Wings Foundation of Danbury.
Julia Wing Foundation’s Vice President Heather Malsin and board member Katherine Gold-Guber spoke at the event regarding the foundation’s mission and efforts to promote organizations and individuals researching Aplastic Anemia through donations. The non-profit organization also provides financial relief to families of children with life-threatening hematological diseases and to medical professionals for healthcare research.
Proceeds from T-shirt and Anita Begley-designed jewelry sales were donated to the foundation.
The Shelter Rock Winery is the first of its kind in Fairfield County. The membership club is a regular gathering where members experience the entire wine-making process from grape selection to bottling and labeling.
