The fast-food restaurant on Newtown Road, off Exit 8 of I-84 and across from Stop & Shop, is temporarily closed for construction. The entire fast-food restaurant is enclosed by a fence with a closed sign on it.

Details on the closure were not announced by McDonald's, but many of the outlets of the fast-food eatery are getting updates such as kiosks for ordering and table service.

And at least you won't have to go far if you need a McChicken fix — or maybe just an order of yummy fries.

Other McDonad's can be found in Danbury off Exit 4 and Exit 6 as well as inside the Danbury Fair Mall and on Federal Road in Brookfield.
