McFadden’s Opens In Stamford Space Vacated By Black Bear Saloon

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The new McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon will host a grand opening celebration and pre-St. Patrick's Day party as it throws open its doors this weekend.

The official grand opening celebration will kick off Saturday with doors opening at 6 p.m. 

McFadden's will also be open for the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m. The celebration will feature bag pipers, leprechauns and more. 

The new McFadden's is located at the former home of the Black Bear Saloon at 261 Main St. in downtown Stamford.

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon offers drinks, meals and a laid-back scene for a neighborhood hangout. Its serves casual as well as business lunches.

The new watering hole will also offer after-work events with live DJ’s every Thursday through Saturday and has a private room to host parties. 

The parade route will once again step off Saturday at noon on Main Street at Columbus Park, head east on Main Street, then make a left onto Atlantic Street.

From there it will proceed north on Atlantic Street and continue onto Bedford Street before making a right onto Walton Place, where it will end.

Bagpipe groups, fife and drum corps, Irish step dancers, uniformed officers and members of the military from around the state and beyond will participate in the parade.
