DANBURY, Conn. — Customers looking for a specialty shop that sells Christian books, music and gifts will be disappointed as the Morning Star Christian Books of Danbury holds its going out of business sale.
The shop, which stocks a large selection of Bibles and other Christian-themed books, will close for good at the end of the business day on Saturday, Aug. 27, according to a post on its Facebook page.
"Sad but true ... Our sincere thanks for supporting us through the years," the Facebook post said.
Morning Star sells items and provides resources for all Christian denominations. It offers a wide selection of Bibles, artwork, gifts, church resources, prayer shawls, anointing oil, plus thousands of books, DVDs, and CDs.
The store said it still has a good stock of many items with deep discounts offered. All items are already marked down, with further discounts offered depending on the amount spent.
The chain's eight other stores will remain open, with the closest ones in Manchester and Queens, N.Y.
