WholeFit provides "a calmer, gentler exercise program in a small group setting for people who have a high level of stress in their lives," said Hart, a New Fairfield resident.

Services offered include lifestyle coaching, corrective exercise and nutrition coaching, and postural correction.

Hart explained that when people are stressed, "they're not breathing properly and have terrible posture.

"Posture affects everything. If your posture is misaligned, it can cause pain in the lower back, upper back, neck knee and feet, as well as breathing problems.

"In six weeks to a few months, by working on specific exercises I give my clients, their entire posture can be changed," she said.

Hart's other New Fairfield business, EarthFit, was founded nine years ago. She has two other locations, both in South Carolina.

Each training session at EarthFit is 35 minutes long. She said, "35 minutes is all you need to get a complete workout." One of the most important parts of Earthfit's fitness routine is the use of kettlebells. Hart is a certified Level 2 Russian Kettlebell instructor.

"The kettlebell can give you all the benefits of a full gym in one small tool. When done properly and with the right form, kettlebell moves can generate a lot of force and be extremely challenging, working every energy system. It builds strength, endurance, speed, flexibility and helps greatly with weight loss," Hart said.

New Fairfield resident Doreen Costabile spoke highly of Hart. Costabile said her health has changed dramatically in the 14 months she has been working with Hart.

"I was a little frustrated in the beginning because I could barely do a push up. But I started to see results in a short time, and within nine months from when I first started I was down two dress sizes.

"More importantly, my cholesterol was down 60 points. I now not only do push ups, but I can do kettlebell swings with a 49 pound kettle bell," said Costabile, who is a performance improvement specialist.

Hart said although people typically come to her training facilities for physical transformation, "they are always surprised at the positive mental and emotional changes that result as well.

"I walk into work everyday knowing that what I do is truly life changing," she said.
