Planet Fitness Opens Newest Location In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury residents who are intimidated by the traditional gym experience now have an alternative thanks to a New Planet Fitness that opened at 110 Federal Road this week.

Planet Fitness prohibits intimidating activities such as grunting, dropping weights and judging other members.

The new "judgment free" fitness center fills the 26,000-square-foot site -- the former home of Borders -- and offers more than 100 cardio machines, full locker rooms with showers, tanning beds, and hydro-massage beds.

Planet is offering special low introductory membership rates, including a promotion that offers a one-year membership for $1 down and $10 per month.
