RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Amy Pal, the Ridgefield entrepreneur who introduced and sold two JoyRide spin studios in Ridgefield and Wilton, is launching a new venture in town.

Pal is opening a new hair salon in the center of Ridgefield called Whip Blow Dry Bar and Salon.

“Ridgefield really is the perfect place for a blow dry bar,” said Pal. “The aim is to create a hassle-free, and high-end experience for people on the go. Clients can visit several times a week, or drop in. The advantage of coming to Whip Salon is that it is not only easy to book an appointment, but it’s also reasonably priced, hip and an exceptional value for the service and quality provided.”

It is not just a “blow dry bar” concept coming to town, Whip is also a full service salon that offers haircuts and color services for women, men and children.

The “blow dry bar” trend has been taking off nationally — offering woman an option to get their hair blown out and enjoy a flexible payment structure.

It’s commonplace for blow dry bars to feature a “Look Book,” a set of inspiring styles. Whip’s Look Book features five styles featuring models from Ridgefield.

A blowdry at Whip Salon takes customer service to the next level, Pal said. While other salons offer purely a blowout, Whip includes a shampoo, a scalp massage, your blowout of choice (either from their original “Look Book” or individualized) and finally the perfect pout - a lipstick application done by an on-site makeup artist, she said. The total cost is $38 at the most.

There are options for memberships that can drive the price under $32.

The "Whip Salon" app is available now and customers can start booking through it for any appointments on or after its soft opening date of Saturday, Sept. 24.  The Grand Opening is on Saturday, Oct. 1.
