Xpect Discounts To Shut Down In Danbury By March

DANBURY, Conn. -- Regional grocery chain Xpect Discounts announced it will shutter its Danbury location by March 1, according to newstimes.com.

Company officials said they decided not to renew the lease on the location on Newtown Road, near Exit 8 of I-84. About 84 people work at the store and will lose their jobs, newstimes.com reported.

The location is near a Target, Wal-Mart and Super Stop & Shop as well as an Aldi, with a Big Y in the area.
