A Taste of Greater Danbury Provides Family Fun

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Taste of Greater Danbury, the city’s super-sized free festival will offer food, music and family fun.

This year’s summer festival, hosted by CityCenter Danbury, will be from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, and noon to 7 p.m Sunday, Sept. 13, on the CityCenter Green (at Ives Street).

Danbury’s official close to summer promises more than a dozen food vendors, Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot celebrating the music of Billy Joel, and family- and children's-related vendors and entertainment, according to a press release.

Parking is available at the Patriot Garage, 21 Delay St. (adjacent to the Green) and the Bardo Garage, 10 Library Place off Main Street.

Food vendors will include Babu’s Jerk Joint, Delavinia’s Deli, Paradise Foods,Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill, Danbury Ice Arena, Gallucci’s Catering, Green Island Chicken & Grill, The Ice Cream Guy, Italian Ices of Connecticut, Mima’s Meatballs & More, Nick’s Restaurant & Catering, Odeen’s BBQ, Romy’s BBQ, Thai Awesome and Two Steps Downtown Grille.

Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot will take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Also performing will be The Doug Wahlberg Band and country artist Tim Charron.
