Australian Folk Rockers 'The Waifs' Hit The Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — The Ridgefield Playhouse will kick off May with Australian folk group The Waifs coming to town.

The May 4 concert will be preempted by a wine tasting for ticket holders in the lobby at 7:15 p.m. before the show begins at 8 at 80 E. Ridge Road in Ridgefield.

Known for singles “London Still,” “Bridal Train,” and “Sun Dirt Water,” the concert will feature the band's new album "Beautiful You," released in 2015.

Originally from western Australia, the group's profile rose in America when they were given the chance to open for Bob Dylan on his tour, both in the U.S. and abroad.
