The Bacon and Brew Festival comes to CityCenter on Saturday, July 18 from 3-9 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Volunteers are also being recruited for the event.

Radio station I-95 hosts the event along with CityCenter. Vendors will offer food and drink, and several bands are lined up to provide live music.

“It had very good attendance in its first year,’’ said Stacey Olszewski, Development Director for CityCenter Danbury. “We had more people than just about anything else we’ve had there. It was a lot of people for a paid event.”

Many of the food vendors at the Festival bring in items that contain bacon. There will also be several bacon specialty products available.

“Everyone loves beer and bacon,’’ Olszewski said. “I expect it’s going to be another good event.”

Volunteers are needed to pour and check IDs. Shifts require 3 to 6 hours, and some require that people be 21 years of age or over. All volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket to the event (a $20 value) and those over 21 will receive a free beer ticket. Those 18 to 20 years of age will receive $5 toward a food item.

People interested in volunteering can contact Olszewski at CityCenterDanbury, (203) 792 1711 or by email at contact4stacey@yahoo.com. More information is also available on the I95 website.
