Connecticut Ballet Gives Free Performance At Danbury's Ives Concert Park

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Connecticut Ballet Summer Dance Caravan will pull in for a free performance on Friday, July 25, at the Ives Concert Park on the Western Connecticut State University Westside campus at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s performance, ‘Danza!’ is a celebration of Latin choreographers both classical and contemporary. It will showcase a number of works by Rodney Rivera of Puerto Rico, Alberto Alonso of Cuba, Daniel Fetecua Soto of Colombia and Marcos Vedoveto of Brazil. 

The event is free and suitable for dance fans of all ages. 

There also will be a free master ballroom class taught by John Vitti before the show at 6 p.m., and a ‘meet-and-greet’ after-party onstage with the dancers from 9 to 10 p.m.
