On Saturday, there will be a free spoken word night at A Common Ground Community Arts Center. “Beat For The Sol” features three poets - Conor Andrews, Nantambu and Atom Rush – starting at 8 p.m. There also will be an open mic portion, with signups starting around 6 p.m.
Two events are scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at the Community Arts Center.
In the afternoon from 1:30-3:30, Sherri Bresson will host an acting workshop titled “Express Yourself: Acting & Creative Self-Expression for Teens & Adults,” where Bresson will not only focus on acting and performance, but on ways for participants to express their creativity.
The workshop is $55 for general admission, $35 for students and $45 for those who register by March 18. Registration can be done by e-mailing acommonground@live.com.
Later that night, A Common Ground will host its free monthly benefit coffee house, with an open mic session from 8-9 p.m. (signup begins at 7:30) and musician Josh Jeffen afterwards.
All events will be at A Common Ground Community Arts Center, 33 Crosby St., Danbury.
