A Chaski Fest, sponsored by the World Conscious Pact Northeast, will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday. Chaski is a Quechua/native Andean word for messenger. Activities will include dance, yoga, capoeira, music and opportunities for environmental activism.
The Danbury Ride of Silence will be held Wednesday, May 20. The 4.5-mile bike ride is to honor people who were injured or killed as a result of bicycling on public roads.
Cyclists, who must wear helmets, should meet at CityCenter Danbury Green at 6:45 p.m. The Danbury Ride of Silence will depart promptly at 7 p.m.
