The series is a 25-part video seminar conducted by Yale University history professor Joanne B. Freeman. The seminar will be made available to the public through Open Yale Courses free of charge.

The first seminar, “Introduction-Freeman’s Top Five Tips for Studying the Revolution,” will be shown at the Library on July 22 from 1 to 2 p.m. The series will be conducted at Danbury Library and the Museum's Huntington Hall and run through April 2016.

Each participant will receive a "Passport of the Past" booklet at the first seminar they attend and will receive a stamp at each subsequent seminar. Participants with at least 10 stamps will be invited to attend a free "Passport to the Past" event at Danbury's Rider House in April 2016. The event will feature costumed re-enactors, tours of the building and period appropriate refreshments.
