DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Library's Junior Department will offer a free "Introduction to Babysitting" course from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Aimed at kids ages 10 and older, the course will cover interviewing tips, communication skills, developmental stages of young babies and toddlers, safety, first aid, feeding and caring for children and how to change a diaper.
Kindergarten teacher Amanda Tucker will lead the course. Tucker has teacher certifications in early childhood, general education and special education. She also has a master's degree in literacy.
Certificates will be distributed upon completion of a test at the end of the course.
