Danbury Library To Host Programs For Women's History Month

The screening includes a panel discussion and display of library materials featuring female singers, musicians, and writers at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16. The Makers/PBS documentary film “Makers: Women Who Make America” celebrates the accomplishments of women over the past 50 years. The film is sponsored by the Friends of the Danbury Library and offered free of charge.

The library will also host a panel discussion in partnership with the Women's Center and Western Connecticut State University at 7 p.m. Monday, March 24. The panel discussion is called "Standing on the Shoulders of Other Women” and will include information about women from the Danbury community who were first in their fields. The program is free of charge and registration is requested through the Women’s Center at 203-731-5200 or email womenscenter@wcogd.org.
