Danbury Music Centre Celebrates 80 Years With POPs Concert

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Music Centre is celebrating 80 years with a POPs concert on June 18 at CityCenter Green in Danbury, beginning at 4 p.m.

There will be performances by the Danbury Preparatory Symphony Orchestra, DMC Madrigals, DMC’s Big Band and the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, who will perform the POPs concert. 

The event will start off with a string quartet performance at 4 p.m. and there will be an Alumni of the Summer Strings program at 4:30 p.m., along with the DMC Madrigal singers singing between both performances. 

The DPSO will perform at 5:30 p.m., the Big Band at 6 p.m. and the Danbury Symphony Orchestra POPs Concert at 7:30 p.m.

Alongside the event, there will be vendors selling crafts, as well as food vendors and more. 

All profits from this event will help to raise funds for the educational programs at the Danbury Music Centre.
