Those who aren't afraid of the dark will head out into Danbury's many neighborhoods in the quest for candy. One popular street is Deer Hill Avenue -- with City Hall at one end and Tarrywile Park at the other. Crowds numbering in the thousands are known to turn out.

Rob Toth and his wife have joined the Halloween spirit on the famous street. His house at 21 Deer Hill Ave. is decked out this year in a pirate theme. Read more about his decorations here on the Daily Voice.

If you and your kids haven't had your fill of Halloween fun by the end of the night, Danbury residents can head to Halloween on the Green. The event is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, on the CityCenter Green on Ives Street.

A children's costume parade will be held at 3:30 p.m. on the Green with prizes for most original, scariest, cutest and funniest costume.  The event, sponsored by CityCenter Danbury, Danbury Jaycees and Kiwanis of Danbury, is free.
