Danbury Will 'Light The Lights' In Holiday Celebration Outside Library

DANBURY, Conn. – CityCenter Danbury announced that the annual “Light The Lights” celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 29.

The festivities begin at 5:15 p.m. at Library Plaza in downtown Danbury. Holiday staples such as carols and cookies, Charlie Brown and, of course, Santa Claus himself will make appearances.

Mayor Mark Boughton will light the lights at 5:45, heralding the arrival of Santa via firetruck. After that, children can visit with Santa at Library Plaza from 6 to 7 p.m.

The list of expected performers includes roaming magician Magic Marty; 5 6 7 8! Dance Arts performing “A Charlie Brown Holiday,” and the St. Joseph Church School Choir.
