Danbury Winery Celebrates Spring With Wine, Food, Cigars

DANBURY, Conn. – Shelter Rock Winery and Winemaking Club, Connecticut’s groundbreaking urban winery in Danbury, will be hosting its second annual Spring Celebration on Saturday, April 25, at 6 p.m.

The evening will feature a selection of Shelter Rock’s wine and food samplings from A&S Fine Foods, Amore Restaurant and Gallucci’s catering the event. There will also be an outdoor tent sponsored by Big Buddha Cigar Lounge.

“Guests can eat, drink, dance and savor Big Buddha cigars. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the evening and raffle will benefit Julia’s Wing’s Foundation, which provides financial assistance to families of children with life threatening hematological diseases and to fund medical research,” said winery owner Giovanni Petretta.

Located at 5 Shelter Rock Road, The Shelter Rock Winery is the area’s first wine making membership club where friends, neighbors and wine aficionados gather for the yearlong wine making process from grape selection to bottling and labeling.

Tickets for the Spring Celebration are $30 each or $55 per couple for members; $40 each or $75 for non-members.
