Find Your Medieval Ancestors At Danbury Library Event

DANBURY, Conn. -- The CT Ancestry Society Inc. will present “Find Your  Medieval Ancestors” at the Danbury Library on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Participants can learn about tracing their family to the Middle Ages at the event. Harlan Jessup, a resident of Newtown, will make the presentation. Jessup edits the “Connecticut Ancestry Journal” and maintains the genealogy and local history collection at Newtown’s C.H. Booth Library. He is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Connecticut Professional Genealogists Council.

The Connecticut Ancestry Society was founded in 1954 as the Stamford Genealogical Society and is the oldest genealogical society in Connecticut. The society's membership now extends throughout North America with about half living in Connecticut.  To learn more about the society visit its website

The program is free and open to everyone interested in genealogy. Registration is not required.
