Free Heart Health Discussion Open To Seniors In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A lecture on heart health pertaining to aortic stenosis will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center.

Eileen Hurley, APRN Valve Clinic Program Coordinator at Danbury Hospital and Western Connecticut Medical Group, will discuss the latest technique for folks who experience shortness of breath, fainting and chest discomfort due to aortic stenosis to improve their quality of life and potentially live longer.

Hurley has worked at Danbury Hospital since 2006, specializing in cardiology. She now oversees the heart valve program at Danbury Hospital, where a multidisciplinary group of physicians evaluate and recommend treatment for those patients with heart valve disease. 

The free lecture will begin at noon and is open to area seniors. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
