Outages were reported in the area between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. - namely in Bridgeport, Stratford and New Haven - impacting more than 2,000 United Illuminating customers.
As of 8:30 a.m., 471 Bridgeport residents remained without power - after more than 500 were in the dark earlier - and nearly a dozen Stratford residents were still waiting for restoration, down from nearly 2,000 at its peak.
No cause was provided for the outages. Complete power restoration is scheduled to between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
