Randall, 57, a photographer, died peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 5, his family said in a statement to the outlet. He apparently met 59-year-old Bullock while photographing her son's birthday in 2015.
Bullock was raised in Arlington, having been a cheerleader and in theater productions at Washington-Lee High School.
On an episode of "Red Table Talk" with Jada Pinkett-Smith, Bullock called Randall the love of her life.
"I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner, a devoted mother," she said, noting he was a "saint" when it came to her children.
