Danbury Arts in Action provides mentoring for at risk youth and arts instruction in the community
"It is fitting that singer-songwriter Lara Herkovitch should perform a benefit for Danbury Arts in Action given her own tireless efforts in policy social work," said a press release. "She has traveled the Americas and Asia bettering the plight of the disadvantaged, fostering community building and education. Her songs reflect this. They compel without being preachy and are delivered with bright guitar backing a clear articulate voice. Lara's five albums provide a clear window into the heart of a strong, sensitive individual."
