The class will run from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and is hosted by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut @287 Gallery & Meeting Place at 287 Main St.

"A full house, a fuller wineglass and the fullest experience provide full pleasure. Joining friends and meeting new people while sipping wine and connecting with your creative side is art in the greatest sense," said teaching artist Susan Jackson. Jackson is donating the class to support the Cultural Alliance.

Painters will be provided with paint supplies, brushes, a canvas, easel and apron. Instructors will guide painters through the proper steps and offer encouragement to create a personal work of art inspired by a featured painting. Bring your own wine or beverage and snacks to share.

Jackson is the owner of the Georgetown School of the Arts as well as Paint, Draw and More! She lived for 12 years in California, where she worked as an exhibit designer, a theatrical scenic designer and a Walt Disney imagineer. Always knowing in her heart that she wanted to teach children, in 1990 Jackson found her way to the front of the classroom at the Monart School of the Arts in Santa Monica, Calif.

Upon returning to Connecticut, she has been arranging and teaching drawing/art classes throughout Fairfield County. In 1994, she opened the Paint, Draw & More! Studio and, along with teaching children's and adult classes, has been teaching training workshops for teachers to use drawing in the classrooms of public schools.

The cost is $35 per person, and pre-registration is required. Space is limited, so to reserve your seat at the easel, go to eventbrite http://bit.ly/1EhlTQB. For more information, call the Cultural Alliance at 203-798 0760.
