Open Mic, Headliners Come To WestConn In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. -- Western Connecticut State University in Danbury is featuring a weekly 8 p.m. open mic, followed by a 9 p.m. headline act, starting Thursday, Jan. 16.

The shows take place at the Midtown Campus Coffehouse, located at 181 White St. in Danbury.

The first edition on Jan. 16 welcomes pop artist and Connecticut resident Beau Badrick, a multi-instrumentalist who has been performing since he was 7.

Soulful singer-songwriter Milton, who just released his fourth CD, plays at the upcoming show Thursday, Jan. 30. Jeff Eyrich will accompany him on upright bass.

Admission is free and all shows are open to the public. Donations to sustain the coffeehouse are welcomed.
