The new film from Red Bull Media House and MSP Films takes extreme skiing to new heights. Filmed over two years using state of the art technologies, "Days Of My Youth” looks through the lens in a new way to capture moments of what is possible on skis.
From nearly impossible descents in Alaska to massive terrain features, “Days Of My Youth” redefines what it means to be a skier.
Shooting all over the world -- including the far reaches of Svalbard, Norway and Peru’s Cordillera Blanca range – the film takes the viewer on an unparalleled cinematic journey featuring some of the best skiers in the world, including a special appearance by U.S. Olympian Bobbie Burns.
The “Days Of My Youth” screening is part of The Palace Danbury’s fifth annual Ski Extravaganza Night. Sponsored by Ski Haus, thousands of dollars worth of ski gear -- including skis, boots, poles, goggles and ski clothing -- will be given away as door prizes.
Representatives from Butternut, Catamount, Ski Sundown, Thunder Ridge and more will showcase their mountains and give away lift tickets.
This year’s event will take place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. Tickets cost $20 and may be ordered online at www.thepalacedanbury.com, by phone at 203-794-9944, or purchased at the door starting at 7 p.m.
The Palace Danbury is located at 165 Main St. Free parking is available for theater patrons in the parking lot behind the building.
