The popular Downtown tradition, in its 23rd year, will again draw hundreds of costumed revelers on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. to the CityCenter Danbury Green at Ives Street.
So don your favorite superhero's tights, pointed witch's hat, fairy-princess gown, green fright wig or anything else you may dream up, and join in the biggest "scare-do" in downtown.
Goodie bags will be provided to the first 500 costumed children and prizes for Most Original, Scariest, Cutest and Funniest will be awarded after a 3:30 p.m. parade around town. The judges will also be looking for the "Best of the Best." Here's a chance to make a scary statement, comic comment or or just good ol' funny fun.
Entertainment will include the Tooth Fairy, courtesy of Dental Associates of Connecticut, music by Summit Entertainment and a Danbury children's favorite, the Traditional Children's Games presented by the Portuguese Cultural Society.
A "Guess the Weight and Win a Pumpkin" contest, a free photo booth--sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank--and lots of other games and activities are planned.
Halloween on the Green runs until 4 p.m. Parking is available at the Patriot Garage adjacent to the Green. Level 5 of the Patriot Garage will also be used as the rain location, if necessary.
