Memorial Day, observed annually on the last Monday in May, honors all men and women who served in defense of the United States.
"Our annual Memorial Day Parade is just one of the great ways that Danbury and the Council of Veterans can bring our community together to remember our heroes and honor their sacrifice," said Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton.
"Seeing more groups of people participate each year makes me so proud of our Danbury community and we hope to continue this tradition by inviting organizations to participate.
"We will continue to honor, not only the greater Danbury veterans, but all who have served and are currently serving our country," he said.
The Danbury Council of Veterans consists of six veterans organizations. It is responsible for making arrangements for and conducting all Veterans Memorial ceremonies in Danbury.
Last year's Memorial Day Parade was unfortunately washed out by heavy rain.
