Variety Of Children's Programs Planned At Danbury Library

DANBURY, Conn. -- Kids will conduct interviews like reporters and learn to measure distance using toilet paper rolls in some of the free programs offered at the Danbury Library in October.

Hot Off the Press for kids ages 6 to 12 will begin Oct 1. The program will run four consecutive Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Offered by Daily Voice journalist Sandra Diamond Fox, kids will interview library staff and friends, take photos and write articles using their own by lines. Music and Movement is offered Friday, Oct. 2 and on Oct. 9, from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Participants will sing, dance and play with scarves to music. No registration is required. Just drop in and enjoy.

Also, 2- to 8-year-olds and their families are welcome to attend an interactive concert Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Register here or call 203- 797-4528.

An eight-week series, Bedtime Math’s Crazy 8’s Club, will begin Tuesday, Oct. 6 and include activities such as geometry with glow sticks and measuring distance by throwing a toilet paper roll, making math fun. The series runs Oct. 6 to Nov. 24. Register here or call 203-797-4528.
