'Voice' Winner Sawyer Fredericks To Perform At Monroe's Wolfe Park

MONROE, Conn. --  Sawyer Fredericks, a singer/songwriter who won the eighth season of "The Voice" in 2015 (Pharrell Williams was his coach) will perform Friday, June 23, at Monroe’s Wolfe Park.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and is part of The Arts in the Park concert series, a program of the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department. 

Fredericks, 18, is originally from Newtown. According to Wikipedia, since his win, he's set series iTunes sales records with his original songs. He also holds honors, along with fellow "Voice" contestant Danielle Bradbery, as the youngest to win the series competition. He won when he was 16.
