FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CONN. -- Tropical Storm Arthur's wind and rain are posing a threat to Fourth of July weekend festivities. While they may be rescheduled, here are five of the biggest ways to celebrate the red, white and blue in Fairfield County this holiday weekend -- weather permitting, of course.

1. Fireworks at Fairfield's Penfield Beach and Jennings Beach on Friday, July 4, at 9:15 p.m.

Fireworks can be seen from either of these beaches as they explode from a barge off of Long Island Sound. Free. 323 Fairfield Beach Road or 880 S. Benson Road.

2. Fireworks at Norwalk's Calf Pasture Beach on Saturday, July 5 at dusk.

This fireworks celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with performances by the Amazing Andy, DJ Nuzzo, and Jimmy and the Parrots. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk. There is no charge for admission, but a parking fee of $25 will be charged to cars without a Norwalk resident pass.

3. Westport's Annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration on Monday, July 7, at Compo Beach at dusk.

Ticket can be purchased at the Westport Police Department at 50 Jesup Road and at the Westport Parks and Recreation office at 260 Compo Road S. Tickets sales are limited and are on a first-come first-serve basis. Firework tickets are $35 per car.

4. Stamford's Celebration and fireworks on Saturday, July 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cummings Park .

5. Greenwich's Fireworks at Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park on Saturday, July 5 at dusk.
