WestConn To Host Benefit Dance For Sandy Hook Victim

DANBURY, Conn. – Jimmy Greene, an assistant professor of music at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, lost his daughter, Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, in the Dec. 14 Newtown tragedy. This weekend the WestConn community will host a benefit dance in her honor.

WestConn's Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Department of Music are hosting a semi-formal dance Saturday to support those affected by the tragedy, according to a statement. Proceeds from the dance will go to the Ana Grace Fund, which was created to honor the memory of Marquez-Greene and to help her family.

The dance will feature live entertainment from the music department, dancing and appetizers. The event will be 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Westside Campus Center, 43 Lake Ave. Ext. Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for the public and can be purchased online or by calling 203-837-TIXX.
