The circus is advertising “‘Cossak Warriors’ on horseback, Motorcycle Nitro Cowboys in the globe of Death, camels and zebras performing with ponies, clowns and comedy acts”. Three Dog Night Performs: 8 p.m. “Joy To the World” artist Three Dog Night will be bringing its top hits to the Ridgefield Playhouse with special guest The Characters. Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
Saturday, April 13 Gettysburg One Woman's War with Michele LaRue: 2 to 3 p.m Actress Michele LaRue will be performing three stories from Elsie Singmaster’s classic ‘Gettysburg.’ The collection explores the physical and emotional terrain of a Civil War icon. Ridgefield Library, 21 Governor St., Ridgefield.
Music of the Greatest Generation: 8 p.m. The Danbury Music Center Big Band will be performing at a benefit for the Danbury Music Centre. It will feature Big Band hits from the 1940s, including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Harry James. Admission is $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main St., Danbury.
Sunday, April 14 Buddy Guy Performs: 8 p.m. Long heralded as one of the best guitar players alive, Blues guitarist Buddy Guy will bring his show to the Ridgefield Playhouse to “keep the blues alive.” Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
