Monday, Sept. 24

Danbury Board Of Education: 7 p.m. Danbury Public Schools Administrative Center, 63 Beaver Brook Road, Danbury.

Danbury Cultural Commission: 7:30 p.m. Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main St., Danbury.

Theater Production: “Helen of Troy:” 7:30 p.m. Director Leonidas Loizides stages his world-touring production of "Helen of Troy." The show is funded by a grant from the foundation of Brookfield industrialist and philanthropist Constantine "Deno" Macricostas and his wife Marie. For more information, call 203-837-8793. Free. Tuesday, Sept. 25

After-School Program: 3 to 6 p.m. This program at King Street United Church of Christ is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade on weekdays. Monday and Wednesday will be arts and crafts, Tuesday and Thursday will be theater games, and Friday will be karaoke. Limit is 20 students, first come, first served. Political Science Lecture: 5:25 to 6:25 p.m. Andrew Roraback, Republican candidate for Congress in the Fifth District, will discuss his economic program and congressional campaign. Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association Well Child Clinic: 6 to 8 p.m. The clinic includes immunizations; school and sports physicals; and exams for newborns and children up to 18 years of age. Twilight Canoe Rides: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Twilight canoe rides are offered Wednesday evenings until Oct. 10. The center has six canoes, each seats two to four people. David Nail: 8 p.m. Country singer David Nail has had three singles in the Top 20 in the past two years and is fresh off his tour with Keith Urban. His latest album is “The Sound of a Million Dreams.” Tickets are $37. The Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 E. Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
