Under the leadership of Michael Moran, executive director of Stamford Center for the Arts, both the Palace Theater and Rich Form have attracted top-tier performers from the New York area and beyond.

Located in downtown Stamford, the Rich Forum is where daytime television staples "The Jerry Springer Show," "Maury" and "The Steve Wilkos Show" are filmed. Two blocks north on Atlantic Street, the nearly 90 -year-old Palace Theater serves as the area's cultural center.

'The Palace Theater really does everything," said Moran. "We'll do music, we do dance, comedy and have some amazing arts partners in town." Among the theater's regular performers are the Stamford Symphony, Connecticut Ballet and Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic, in addition to a constant stream of regional and national talent.

Moran joined Stamford Center for the Arts in 2000, and brought with him more than 25 years of experience in motion picture exhibition. Since then, the center has followed the three guiding principles of entertaining, educating and enriching.

Since the building's opening in 1927, the Palace Theater has served as an anchor in Stamford's booming downtown.

"We try and serve as an economic driver for downtown and want to continue being a vibrant piece of the community," said Moran.
