Danbury Hospital, Food For Life, Holding Nutrition Classes At Ann's Place

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Food for Life Cancer Project, in conjunction with the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital, is holding a series of cooking and nutrition classes at Ann’s Place, 80 Saw Mill Road.

The Thursday classes will take place on May 5, 12, 19 and 26, from 6 to 8:15 p.m.

The course, designed both for cancer patients and anyone interested in learning about healthy living and cancer prevention, will include information on how foods fight cancer, low-fat and high-fiber foods, alternatives to dairy and meat products, cancer fighting compounds and healthy weight control.

A cooking demonstration will also be included. Books and DVDs will be available for purchase, as well.

The classes are intended for those 18 and older.
