Danbury Music Centre Invites Applications For Deming Family Scholarship

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Deming Family Music Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded in August to a deserving college student majoring in music, according to the Danbury Music Centre.

The student must be majoring in music at an accredited college or university and entering his/her junior or senior year in college or is a graduate student.

Students from Danbury and surrounding towns are invited to apply.

Special consideration will be given to those who are or have been participants in the programs of the Danbury Music Centre.

Mary Deming and her husband, the late Robert Deming, have funded this scholarship as an expression of their deep appreciation for the philosophy, the programs and the contributions of the Danbury Music Centre to the Deming family and to music lovers in the greater Danbury area.

Applications are available by contacting the Danbury Music Centre at 203-748-1716 or at dmc@danburymusiccentre.org. All applications are due on or before July 22.
