TK's American Cafe In Danbury Is A DVlicious Finalist For 'Best Wings'

We asked Daily Voice readers for their favorite Fairfield County chicken wing spots and now have five finalists in the running.

In the spirit of "winging it," each finalist has been profiled this week, with the contest ending 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23.

Wing Choices: TK's boasts 52 flavors of wings ranging from No Spice (Honeyaki with honey and teriyaki) to Mild (add some of TK's award-winning Hot sauce to the brew), to Hot (adding Xtra hot cayenne to the mix!), Daup to Really Hot (hot sauce with tabasco) 

Most Popular Heat Level: According to online voting, Charlie, with teriyaki, honey BBQ and a splash of Suicide, is the current favorite, with the No Spice Honey BBQ a close second. 

Good to Know: TK's offers a ton of specials: 

• 59-cent wings during Monday Night Football;
• Wing Nite on Tuesday with 39-cent wings; and
• 59-cent wings during College Football Saturdays

But TK's is most famous for its Birthday Deal: You get free wings up to your age. That's good for you alone or you and your whole group. Choose two of the 52 flavors, or three flavors if you are over 60 

In 1991, TK's was a struggling new business when they tried a 10-cent wing night. The rest is history: TK's now serves over 20,000 wings a week.
