Jones Family Farms Winery in Shelton can help.  Their wine list offers an array of choices, many of which are Connecticut made.

A sampling follows. For the full list, go HERE.

  • Harvest Time: A delicious blend of Connecticut grown apples and pears. Delicately sweet, with crisp fruit flavors. Pairs perfectly with roast turkey, pork, and roasted winter vegetables.
  • Chardonnay: Dry, crisp white wine with hints of fruit and notes of citrus. Pairs with grilled salmon, roast chicken, cheese platters and light appetizers.
  • Woodlands White: A Connecticut grown white wine, refreshingly crisp with a delicate, sweet finish. Best partnered with grilled chicken, veal scaloppini, farm fresh quiche, or an aged, sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Pinot Gris: A dry, white with hints of nectarine. Works with cheese platters, steamed mussels, grilled swordfish, or roast chicken.
  • Ripton Red: Dry, medium-bodied red wine that's an eclectic mix of both California and estate-grown varieties. Pair with your favorite hearty tomato or olive oil-based pasta dish, a juicy steak, roast duck, or a nutty Manchego cheese.
  • Black Currant Bouquet: A robust, full-bodied dessert wine made from 100 percent Connecticut-grown black currants. Partner with your favorite dark chocolate dessert or flavorful cheese course or enjoy it mixed with champagne as a delicious Kir Royale cocktail.
  • Seven Generations (port-style wine): This rich, port-style dessert wine is made entirely from Jones estate grapes, meaning its 100 percent Connecticut-grown.
