A record number of more than 75 children arrived in superhero costumes with their family to share a healthy meal together. The children then participated in math activities with their teachers.

Maureen Farrell, Registered Dietitian and Director of Community Wellness for the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut, provided information and resources to parents on the "Let's Go! 5,2,1,0" Health Message adopted in the local Greater Danbury community in 2010 by the Coalition for Healthy Kids.

The Let's Go message is supported by the American Academy of Pediatrics and local pediatricians and family doctors. Let's Go encourages children and families to eat five fruits and vegetables daily, watch two hours or less of recreational screen time, engage in one hour of play everyday, and have zero intake of sugar sweetened beverages.

Families went home with ideas for healthy snacks, copies of "Chop Chop" cooking magazine for kids (also in Spanish), and activities to encourage with children other than screen time.
