Barry cashed in on a $30,000 win at the Connecticut Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill, continuing his string of luck. Barry had won two raffles earlier last week and was pretty confident of a winning experience when he played his ticket.

“I scratched the ticket and said ‘Hey—I think I just won 30,000 dollars on this ticket!'” To make sure, Barry said he, “had to pull a calculator to do the math.” After using the Ticket Checker to further confirm his winnings, Barry knew he would be making a trip to see Lottery officials in Rocky Hill.

Anxious about losing the ticket, Barry actually drove to his parent’s house to put it in a safe. When asked what he planned to do with the winnings, the lucky winner told Lottery officials that, “the money will help pay for bills,” and that he is looking forward to enjoying the rest of summer. For selling the winning ticket, Sam's Food Store located on 295 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel will receive a $300 check from the Connecticut Lottery.
