Now, the Danbury man has received some help of his own. He recently bought a winning ticket in the state's $5,000 A Month For Life game at the Mill Plain Exxon in Danbury.
By winning the top prize in the Connecticut Lottery game, Kato will be paid $5,000 a month for life. It has guaranteed minimum total payout of $1.2 million or he can claim a one-time gross cash option payment of $1 million.
Kato operates a counseling business in the city, providing individual, couples and family counseling. His office offers help for a range of emotional and behavioral issues, providing services that span from traditional therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond.
