The celebration will share Anderson’s life and accomplishments as well as spotlight the museum and historical society's new exhibit.
At 2 p.m., the museum welcomes Western Connecticut State Univeristy music students who will perform several songs made popular by Anderson throughout her career.
Free tours will also be given of the other historic buildings on the museum campus at 43 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of this celebration.
