The selections in the areas of television, art, business, sports, movies and were made by editors of the magazine, and family, friends and co-workers, among others, said Connecticut Magazine.
They are as follows:
Jason Aleksa, 33, of Fairfield: A designer and fabricator, he is the son and grandson of machinists. Through his business, Stonehill Design, Aleksa repurposes antiques into modern lamps and home decor.
Leslye Headland, 33, of Westport: A director, her 2012 comedy "Bachelorette," starred Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan. Her latest work, "Sleeping with Other People" premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in January.
Jessica Ewud, 28, of Redding: She is the executive director of Save-A-Suit, an organization that provides business-professional suits and resources to veterans so they can return to civilian life and college students entering the world of business. She is also an artist and paints murals.
Lex Schwartz, 28, of New Fairfield: He is the CEO and chief scientist of Owlchemy Labs, a video game studio in Austin, Texas. Among games the company produces are BASE-jumping VR game “Aaaaaculus!” and the multiplatform VR launch title “Job Simulator," among others.
Mike "Munchie" Santini, 25, of Ridgefield: He is the development director of the Prospector Theater who rapped his resume in his job interview. The nonprofit movie theater employs people with disabilities. Santini has used his rap music in a successful fundraising strategy that raised $3 million in funds for the theater.
Ken Tuccio, 33, of Norwalk: He is host of "Welcome To Connecticut Podcast," a weekly audio program focusing on casual conversations with unique personalities from around Connecticut. His celebrity interviews include Man v. Food host Adam Richman and Jerry Springer.
Tony Pham, 30, of Danbury: He is a restaurant owner and chef who helped bring ramen and pho noodle dining options to Connecticut. Pham and his mother, Oanh Pham opened Pho Vietnam in Danbury in 2006. In 2013, he opened Mecha Noodle Bar in Fairfield with Richard Reyes and recently they opened a second location in Norwalk.
